Palm Beach County Swordfishing

Fort Lauderdale Swordfishing Charters

If you are looking to do battle with the toughest and most abundant game fish South Florida has to offer, evening swordfishing in the Gulfstream of the Atlantic is your best bet. Captain Vinnie La Sorsa specializes, and is extremely experienced in swordfishing excursions. South Florida has an excellent swordfish fishery, and swordfish are truly one of the toughest predators and hardest fighting fish in the ocean. This is why swordfish have appropriately been named Xiphias Gladius, which means the gladiator of the sea. Once an angler feels the strength of a swordfish and sees the beauty of it in the boat or upon release, he or she will be hooked for a lifetime.

 Palm Beach County Swordfishing Charters

Swordfishing has greatly rebounded off the coast of South Florida over the last 10 years. With the shutdown of commercial longlining off Florida 's Coast, we are able to truly enjoy a great swordfish fishery. While some nights are better than others, we are getting numerous shots at swordfish just about every night. The great thing about these fish is that until you've had a look at the fish you it's hard to predict how big the fish you're fighting is. Swordfish are pound for pound the toughest game fish that swim the ocean and will keep an angler at the ready for a prolonged fight.

With the proper tackle and experience we have hooked many anglers up to their first swordfish. All of our tackle is set up for the angler to fight the swordfish stand-up. Our average nights are 8 hour trips, but we have been hooked up to large and uncooperative swordfish until the early morning hours.

Whether you are planning an office outing, time with a client or a family event, Palm Beach County Swordfishing can be the perfect situation. Captain Vinnie has been planning and leading Swordfishing for years. He knows how to make it a special trip that you won't forget.

For Swordfish we use top of the line Shimano Tiagra 50lbs and 80lbs reels. If you want to test your angling abilities we can target swordfish on our lighter Shimano tackle. We have all the right gear and experience to put you on the Gladiator of the Sea. Call or email to discuss the perfect dates for your swordfishing charter. Capt. Vinnie LaSorsa 954-254-7700
